Brewing guide for Hot and Iced Greek Mountain Tea using Teabags

BREW GREEK MOUNTAIN TEA using our teabags
Prep time: 1 min     Cook time  3-5 mins   Total time 4-6 mins
Ingredients:
  • 1 Greek Mountain Tea Teabag
  • Briki or pot
  • 1 cup of water
  • Sugar, lemon or honey (Optional)

How to Prepare a Hot Home-made Greek Mountain Tea:

Preparation of hot mountain tea is pretty simple.

  • Fill your briki (or a pot) with water and turn heat to 100 degrees. Bring water to a boil.
  • Remove your briki or pot from the heat and allow the Greek Mountain Tea teabag to steep for 3-5 minutes (depending on how strong you want the flavour to be).
  • Remove the teabag and serve to your favourite mug.

OPTIONAL: Add honey or lemon juice for flavour. Try to avoid refined sugars as it will damage the components in the tea.
TIP: * Mountain tea is best drunk with a big squeeze of lemon, as the vitamin C in the citrus fruit helps the body absorb iron.

    Enjoy!
